The movie has been getting some harsh reviews, but critics panned Gatsby back when Fitzgerald first wrote it as well. Buzzfeed collected (and brilliantly displayed) the eight meanest things said about “The Great Gatsby” in the 1920s.
Has anyone seen the movie yet? Does it live up to all this negative hype?
This reminds me of a quote from Moonrise Kingdom.
